Direct, transparent terms for software engineering engagements. No legalese traps.
1. Phased Engagements & Scope
Work is scoped, estimated, and executed in discrete, verifiable phases. Each phase specifies concrete deliverables, architecture specifications, and verifiable acceptance criteria. No engineering begins on an assumption, and you are not locked into long-tail multiphase commitments.
2. Intellectual Property & Code Handoff
Full ownership of custom source code, documentation, repository access, deployment scripts, and production environments transfers to the client upon receipt of payment for the corresponding phase. We do not hold code hostage or build proprietary vendor lock-in.
3. Pricing & Commercials
Fixed-price contracts are standard when scope, integrations, and operational requirements are clearly bounded. Time-and-materials arrangements apply to discovery sprints, evolving product definitions, or ongoing technical advisory. Retainers are available post-launch for maintenance, schema growth, and operational uptime.
4. Confidentiality & Data Security
Both parties maintain strict confidentiality regarding trade secrets, business processes, architecture designs, and proprietary data. All systems are engineered with defensive principles respecting data sovereignty, least-privilege access, and applicable data privacy laws (GDPR, Saudi PDPL).
5. Direct Technical Communication
Clients interact directly with the lead engineers writing code and making architectural decisions. We do not use proxy project managers or account representatives relaying messages. Written coordination and documentation are provided in English, Arabic, or both.
